Hi, you have a 13.5 sq metre home? That seems a bit small, is it not 135 sq metres. Back to your delimma! Metres sq and sq metres is the same thing. When tiling rule of thumb, is get an extra 10% for breakages and cuts plus it is a good idea to have a few spare tiles in case of future damages or breaks. Tiles one buy today may not be available in the future!
Those are the same thing. Square meters are the same as m².
If in fact you want to tile the entire house, then you just need to get enough tiles to cover 13.5 m². A single tile is not a full square meter, so you'll need to buy boxes of tiles.
A box of tiles will say how many square meters it covers. You'll divide that number into 13.5 to determine the number of boxes you need to buy. Round any partial result up to the next full number of boxes because you'll have to cut some tiles and might even break a few along the way.
Good luck!
One square metre is about 10 sq. ft. So that's about 1350 sq. ft. ...but look up conversion tables on the web and you will have it exactly.
What size is each tile? That's important!
Get the retailer to figure it out as well, because you will likely need extra as well.
Hi a good flooring store should be able to tell you. All you need to do is tell them the size of the space needed to be tiled and they can tell you how much is needed. All the best.
