If I have 10 lamps, can I wire them all together to use 1 plug?
Question:I have 30 lamps, all with 11w fluorescent bulbs/tubes. I want to wire them together into sets of 10 and have the 3 sets attach through a 4 gang extension socket. Can I do this without problems? (I am in the UK, so 230volts)

The problem is going to be the load on the socket. Any given circuit is rated for a given amp load. Amp are a measure of the flow of current. You can check the fuse protecting the circuit you are going to use to find out the maximum load the loop will hold. As long as you stay under the limit you can pretty much wire anything in you want.
Yes, you can do that without a problem, but you need to know some physics!
You'll need to find out how many amps your circuit is rated for and whether there is anything else plugged into it somewhere down the line. The breaker will have the amp rating on the switch but if you have fuses you'll really want to make sure they're the right size for the wire used for the circuit. Having a fuse rated too high for the wire capacity is a major fire hazard.
you should be good but the real question is what is the amperage of the recptical those florecent lamps dont pull alot of power expecially at 230 v good luck and be safe
better check the ampage for that sounds like a fire ready to to start
