What softens stuff around sink and bath?
Question:help i have a mirror stuck to bathroom wall tiels with selant that is uesd for round the bath i whant to remove
Answers:
a putty knife and lots of muscle. The only way to remove it is by scraping it off.
Try putting nail polish remover on a cotton ball or sponge and rubbing the area. You have to use "regular" nail polish remover and not the "non-acetone" stuff. Hope this helps.
You must be talking about a silicone caulk which is used for tubs, sinks, etc. That is most likely not what is adhering the mirror. Try taking a razor blade (be careful) and slice the caulk to try and see what is holding the mirror up. I dont recommend trying to tear the mirror off the wall since you may damage the tile beneath it.
If it's a silicone sealant, you might be able to soften it by spraying on some denatured alcohol and letting it sit for a few minutes. Don't get on your paint or any plastics though...
they sell a new product at Lowes that is supposed to soften caulk. It is in the same section as caulk. I always remove caulk with a sharp wallpaper scraper
