Is it safe to use a ceiling fan in the bathroom?

Question:I just wonder if it would be good for the motor to be exposed to the moisture, especially after a steamy shower...

Answers:
Some ceiling fans are specially made and UL listed to be used in damp or wet locations. Generally, these ceiling fans are marketed as "Outdoor" fans, but they are perfect for bathrooms as well as indoor pools or any other location where the fan will be exposed to moisture.

Damp rated fans are sufficient for your bathroom, but you can use a fan that is Wet rated as well. The only difference between the two is that wet rated fans can actually be installed outdoors in uncovered locations that are directly exposed to rain, whereas damp rated fans can handle moisture, but not be directly exposed to water.

I've provided a link below that has about all the options you will need.

They have ceiling exhaust fans for bathrooms. Go to Lowe's and they will have them.
Yes, the sell special ceiling fans just for th ebathroom,it helps keep the mildew from building up in the bathroom, so its made for it.
Why wouldn't it be?
Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. A ceiling fan will not remove the moisture from a bathroom. You really need an exhaust fan.
I have a friend who has a ceiling fan in her bathroom and its been in there for years her house was built before the exhaust fans became standard thoe I dont know if they have it on when the shower is on but its been in there for as long as I can remember so I would think it would be ok...
