What can i do to remove iron heat mark on honey pine?

Question:i tried to remove dents on my honey pine drawers with hot iron and wet cloth but have now turned the wood white how do i get rid of these marks

Answers:
I am guessing that the wood has a protective coating (Poly, shellac, varnish etc) on it. Using the iron has raised moisture into the coating. Use a fine grit steel wool (not the soap pad type) and rub the area until the white is gone. You will need to refinish the area.

If you use some fine grit sand paper, That will bring the color back, however, you will have to re-finish that area.
