What kind of foam should I use to replace my couch cushions?

Question:My dogs destroyed two of my three couch cushions and it will be a month or so before we've saved enough for a new couch. I looked at making some new cushions but there are about a million types of foam out there. Can someone please shed some light on which type I should choose? Our sofa gets used A LOT so they will need to be pretty tough cushions.

Answers:
I would go with the memory foam so that after you get off the couch it goes back into the original shape. this also provides the greatest comfort while sitting on the couch.

Assuming you are in the U.S. just go into your local Hancock Fabrics or Joann's Super Store. They both sell foam in different densities and will be able to suggest a density that is best for your needs.
