Can i install an Air Conditioner in my room since it won't fit in my window?
Question:I can't put it sideways, so i want to know how i can use this AC in my room without installing it in the window.
Answers:
If you go to LOWES or HOME DEPOT you will find that they carry a "Swamp Cooler" or "Personal AC Unit"...they are filled with water and plugged in.most need a place to fit a tube through the window is all.
We bought one for my elderly mother last year,,,,works like a champ!
Keep Coool!
no you need somewhere for the condensation and water to go.you don't want that in your room
I don't think so...
It it's a standard window unit you really only have two options. Either put it in a window or, cut a hole in an exterior wall and permanently install it that way. Another option, return it to where you bought it and buy a free standing indoor unit. They have them now where you move them around inside your house. Kinda like a fan. They are self contained and only need to be plugged into a regular indoor electrical outlet.
Ever hear the term "SADDLING A DEAD HORSE"? If youve ever stood on the outside of a unit you know what kind of heat they produce! If you get an old style swamp cooler they do tend to create a very humid atmosphere. You will notice a slight dampness in almost everything near the unit but not so bad in the rest of the house. When we were in a pinch we built a wooden frame on the outside of the window in my mothers room, covered it with old carpet scrap. SOAK IT WITH THE WATERHOSE AND ADD A BOX FAN TO THE INSIDE AF THE FRAME!!
