My gas grill suddenly does not exceed 200 degrees. The gas is low, but not empty.?

Question:I banged on the components inside the grill to losen whatever goop might have attached to the flame area. Any ideas?

Answers:
It's probably time to get a new tank.

that happened to my bbq look at the tubes that the gas comes out of in the bbq and see if there not screwed up or you might have a leak in the hose going from the tank to the bbq
I would take apart the whole thing and clean it up. Last time my BBQ was doing that we took it apart and clean the crap out of it and put in new charcoal rocks (if your grill has them). After that it heats up just fine. AND FILL UP YOUR TANK LOL ;-)
Oooo... I know what's wrong.

Youv'e not been eating too many beens so you're gas is low.
If you start eating beans, you're gas will be powered up and ready.

EAT BEANS. DUH
as the tank empties it becomes less concentrated (there is air in the tank even when it's empty. at that point you're burner will light, but it may not have the volume necessary to get the temp up where you want it.
if it has a regulator (it will be a round silver thingy(technical term)-some do and some don't
well, if it does the regulator may be bad. if it does and you change tanks and the problem persist then change the regulator.
Yeah, buy some gas
You may have a problem with your regulator. It is just past your tank.
