Question:I need to fill a 2' X 4' section with Redi-Mix.
How many 80 lb bags will I need to buy?

Depending how deep it is, if its 2 inches deep or 4 inches deep you would use appox. 8 bags. Directions are on the bag.
As the first answer said it depends on how thick. However, 8, 80lb bags would fill 2' x 4' about 8" deep, 4 bags might be closer to what you need.
depends how deep it is.when you go to the store check on the bag should be some kind of mixing table that will give you the volume it can do.
length X width X depth = cubic feet ..to get yards take cubic feet divided by 27.
say a 4 inch slab I'm guessing...2 x 4 x (4/12) = 2 cubic feet or .07 cubic yards.my guess probly 2 bags for something like this...although to little mix and to much water will weaken the cement..so read the bag
Buy extra and return what you don't need.
the easiest way is to go to a local builders merchant explain what you want to do. they will tell you how much material you will need. hope this helps.
