How can I make my own camera crane?

Question:I am an aspiring film maker on a tight budget. I would like to get similar shots of those from camera cranes without having to shell out thousands of dollars for one. Any ideas?

Answers:
65 large helium baloons, lawnchair, rope and a concrete block. You can easily adjust the height by letting out more or less rope.

You will have to have some way of operating the camera when it is on the crane and you are on the ground, until you can do that the crane will not help, you don't say if it still or movie shots you would be into ? Try your local library for a book on the subject. Good luck !
check Auto Trader magazine for someone selling an older truck or van with a man bucket on it, like the phone company uses.
