Need some help.?
Question:Me and my family are moving into a bigger apartment, and I want to practice my guitar in my room, but I don,t want to disturb the people next door.Does any body got tips for sound proofing my room, with out having to ruin the walls?
Answers:
All you have to do is insulate your room with something like a foam or egg crate or something. A few small nails (like what you would hang pictures on the wall with) should hold it all up for you with no problem! :)
Or... go out onto the roof and entertain the neighbors while you practice and maybe make some tips! :)
P.S. How awesome that you play guitar! I so want to! :)
Use a thick foam-like material also egg cartons work
Use egg crate matress. It is pretty inexspensive and works to pad wall and absorb the noise. Good Luck.
The more furniture in the room the better, other than that no.
no sorry
You can get the egg crate type of under sheet bed covers. They are designed to make your bed softer. You wouldnt have to ruin the walls, just use a few nails or staples to hold it in place. The foam egg crate will absorb a lot of the sound.
As long as you
1) keep your sessions relatively quiet
and
2) don't practice when your neighbors are trying to sleep
it shouldn't be a problem.
Just play guitar during the day,if you disturb someone during the night, just tell them to go F*** themselves.
Next you change your strings, put some foam inside the guitar. It will be less noisy but the sound quality will suffer. Another option is to buy earplugs for your family.
look noneed if they make any fuss politely say i have the full right 2 learn please stop bothering me.
There is a new type of carpet that came out a few years ago. They are just carpet squares that you peel and stick, you can always reuse them too. You can use these carpets on your walls by removing the backing and sticking them on the walls. This will soundproof your walls a bit without doing any damage.
JUST TACK A DAY OFF GO FROM THER
