How do you add or splice the electrical of a rain bird sprinkler valve to existing system.?

Question:DAS-075/ASVF is the the valve type. Being added to Rain Bird system already installed. Valve is in ground and need to splice to existing system. Thank You.

Answers:
You would need to hook the wires parallel to another head that is in the same zone that you want the head to work with. You could go all the way back to the control panel, or splice it into the wiring of a nearby head. good luck. It is low voltage wiring to the coils, I believe. Something like 12V. Double check that, it has been a while since I worked on them and can't remember for sure.

I assume you are wanting to add a zone valve for additional watering. Based on this you will need to find a control wire that is not being used and tie onto it and the common wire(usually white) and run both of them in-ground where you are putting the new valve. The new valve should have two wires coming off of a solenoid and you will need to tie them together at that point. You need to make sure that the control wire you tie onto is connected at the control box. FYI, the voltage is 24 volts on most sprinkler systems. I hope this helps.
