How to relight a candle that lost its (little thread)?

Question:hay i don't know what that thing is called that you light in a candle, i just call it the little thread. basically i have a very nice candle that only melted from the middle and not the sides, and the thread is all gone, what should i do?

Answers:
Buy candle wicks at a craft store like Michaels. Dip an ice pick or extremely small screwdriver in boiling water to heat it, then push it into the candle where you want the new wick to be. You may have to reheat the pick a few times before you get the hole to the depth you want. Put the new wick in the hole you've created. When you light it for the first time, the wax around the wick will melt and fill the hole you've created.

cut the candle down to find the wick
put a new wick (little thread) you can buy them at craft stores...
if the wick is gone, that's what the thread is called the candle is no good,if you remove some of the old wax ou might be able to find the wick
Wicks in a cheap candle seem to just disappear I just replace the candle but don't buy the 1.98 one's they just aren't worth it. Jar candles seem to keep their wick and those partylite ones but they are pricey.
If its in a jar, take out a little piece, cut in half, make a slit down the middle, place a piece of string in the slit (Make sure a piece of string is sticking out so you don't lose your wick again), and melt it back together. Repeat over and over until there is no wax left.
Cut out a small to medium size hole big enough to set a tealight into it. That way it looks like it still works and you'll save money not re-buying candles over and over. Tealights are at the dollar store too! :)
