Stand for hammock?

Question:I am looking for a stand for my hammock I would really like to build one for my yard my hammock is 54" x 140" long. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I would love to know how to hang it I dont have any trees I just need a stand for it I would rather build then buy but whatever you can tell me would be great.

Answers:
I built one using 3/4 inch steel conduct, (used for installing electric wire) most HW stores have it, there are pre-maid 90 degree corners. You only need basic tools, IE a tape measure, drill, some bits, a hack saw or pipe cutter

You can always buy 4x4 pressure treated posts and stick them in the ground, securing them with some cement. That's what I would do if I was going to DIY this project. Personally though, I would just get a metal stand,,,, they are 30-40 bucks at Lowes/Walmart/HD. But that is just me. Good luck and have fun digging! :)
