How do you make an inexpensive mini greenhouse?
Question:

You are going to need some plastic sheeting, the plastic drop clothes may be too thin. If you can't make the arch like has been described you could stretch some clothes line between two posts or stakes and then drape the plastic over the clothes line, then cover the edges of the plastic with dirt, rocks or bricks to hold it in place. If you need more dirt to do this try digging a small trench to plant in & use the excess dirt to hold the plastic in place.
You can use old storm windows, or clear plastic sheeting (drop cloths from a hardware or paint store) over a wooden or plastic frame. Some people bend thin PVC tubing like an arch, and stick each end in the ground. If you put several of these in a row, and put the sheet over it, that works well. You can put stones or bricks on the ends of the plastic to keep it from blowing away.

how mini is mini?
I made 2 inexpensive ones. One was merely a plant starter, where I scrounged some used windows from a dump and set them up on a frame standing directly on the dirt. It was oriented south, with the windows slanted at about 40 degrees.
The bigger one was mostly scrounged as well.
I had some level ground and raked level a covering of 3/4" gravel to make a floor that would drain well. Dimension of the house was about 20 feet by 12.
The walls and roof were hoops of tubular steel scrounged from a temporary snow shelter. They were attached to used railroad ties (Free for the haulage).
I made the gable ends of plywood on 2x4 and a recycled door at each end so I could control air throughput, and install a fan and lights.
The whole roof and walls were covered in transparent plastic 10 mil film good for about 3 years.
Total cost under 300 bucks.
