Washing machine help?

Question:i have a hotpoint washing machine that has now died and i have brought a new zanussi washing machine . does anyone know if the hot and cold water pipes that goes into the back of the washing machine universal or do i need to get new ones ,or will my existing ones be ok. thanks.

Answers:
Universal. Might be worth replacing the washer (fits in the bit you connect to the washing machine) if the old ones were more a few years old. They are only pennies.

You might find the new machine has only a cold feed. If you have a 40 deg wash then you don't want 60 deg hot water going in (or at least thats the reason I got told!)

universal just fit them to the new machine
Your existing ones will be fine.
They are universal, they'll be fine :o)
They are universal, so put them on the taps, and off you go, make sure they are good and tight, dont want leaks! happy washing
they should be universal (looks like a normal garden hose attachment)
They are normally universal fittings.
Universal, many washers are made by the same company these days as to what the name on them is !
Hoses are all universal. Make sure they may be a grey or a red filter which tells you whether its hot or cold before connecting hoses.
Universal. But I would replace the flat washers in the hose pipe connectors.
they are universal,
but put in the new hoses and washers that come with the new machine, as the old ones could end up leaking through wear and tear, also, dont forget to take out the transit bolts before using the washing machine. good luck.
should be fine but with a new washer you shoul ave got new pipes wise to use them as they are new, just check & make sure its not cold fill only cos then you will need to keep the hot water tap switched off where yr pipes go to
