What do I need to use to stain my deck that will leave it glossy.?

Question:I would like to bring out the color of my wood with stain. I don't want a dull stain, I would like for it be glossy.

Answers:
Polyurethane will do it, but Glossy = Slippery when wet.

polyurethane
Cabot Stain...high gloss expensive but good
Gloss and the wet appearance is beautiful but believe me in terms of preventive maintenance, a dark stain that has ultraviolet protection is more important in the long run unless your deck is small abd you have time and money to clean and stain your deck every year. The previous house we owned had a beautiful monster L shaped 400 sq foot deck on 6 x 6's that were like I0 to 12 feet above ground. The damaging sun would literally baked the treated wood so after cleaning with a pressure washer, based on word of mouth recommendations from several coworkers I used FLOOD CWF-UV oil based ultraviolet resistant stain (CEDAR TONE color bec my coworker who is a perfectionist used it like 3 five gallon cans on his wood fence & told me never to buy clear version) It is found in Duron and other paint stores though Home Depot might still sell it in one gallon and 5 gallon cans. Product is manufactured by FLOOD with identification as CWF-UV penetrating oil which I recommend you researching on the internet for more info to consider another good candidate. Good Luck!
Enamel stain.
You can by a glossy stain, put polyurethane over the stain, or buy a polyurethane and stain in one (my personal preference because it saves you a step).
