do you have a mr clean magic eraser?
I've had many stains that no stain remover would even touch. the best trick I ever used that has never failed me. Take a white wash cloth and soak it with water, lay it over the stain, then use an iron and set it on top of the wash cloth it will steam and all the heat will pull the stain into the wash cloth. let is heat for 3-4 minutes at a time and check it. may take as long as 20 minutes to get the stain out. WORKS EVERY TIME. Just did it yesterday on a coolaid stain that was set in for 3 months.
Well what kind of powder is it? If its just powder, like a white flour or wutever, then water should be able to pick it back up. Try using a mix of a little laundry detergent and water and scrub it.
Need more information and details.
What kind of powdr are you talking about and what is the color of the rug.
In the meantime, try scrubbing it out with plain water or use some dish detergent and water to see if you can get the stain out.
What kind of powder is it? If it is bath powder when it dries you should be able to vacuum it out of your carpet.
Here's a homemade recipe that actually worked on pet stains--and I imagine it could work for you:
1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide ( you know, the stuff in the brown bottle)
a very small amount of **** and span liquid-( 2 or 3 TBS )
Pour into a 22 oz. spray bottle, then add water to fill line on bottle.
Be sure to test for color-fastness in an inconspicuous spot.
Thoroughly spray the stained area. The stain will disappear without leaving any residue.
I imagine peroxide and water will work just as well, but I haven't had the opportunity to test it yet. :)
I was able to tackle my pet's stain using ingredients that I had on hand, without having to run to the store, and the result was even better than the expensive cleaners.
...or you can buy a container of DRY OxyClean and mix it with water. The directions are on the cannister, but I prefer to make it a little stronger.Spray it on, and once the stain comes out, be sure and rinse the spot with cool water-or your carpet will dry and the fibers remain stiff.
Hope this helps!
Why did you do that? Let it dry completely...Steal your moms vacuum cleaner and scrub brush. Scrub with brush then vacuum...repeat! Don't get it wet...the object is to get it really dry. scrub vacuum scrub vacuum... Good luck
I'm telling you it works, Oxy-Clean.
wash the whole carpet and pretend you are a good daughter.
get some warm water and some washing liquid and scrub with a scrubbing brush til it comes out.
I wouldn't think plain "water and powder" would leave a stain. "playing around w/it"? What's that about? If you are sure it is simply water and power, it should clean up easily as follows:
Sop up as much as you can w/a towel or something. Once it is COMPLETELY dry (notice-completely) use the vacuum cleaner to suck up the powder residue. DO NOT use any type of soap or cleaner on it, unless it is specifically for use on carpet, otherwise any type of soil/dirt that come in contact with it in the future WILL stain.
Good Luck
you are in big trouble.
