How do i repair an outdoor swing (fabric)?

Question:i have a covered outdoor swing w/ a metal frame and the fabric rotted, i am looking for the cheapest and strongest way to do this. i have 5 yards of outdoor fabric and was going 2 use grommets and rope as well...but not sure which direction 2 go now. thank u!

Are you doing the canopy, or the cushions? If the canopy, just take the old one off and cut it apart at the seams. Place these pieces on the new fabric and cut them out, making sure to add 3/4" all the way around for seams allowance. Sew them together with 3/4" seams, and put back on the frame. If the canopy slides onto the frame, you'll need to add a piece of fabric, cut wide enough, to allow for the frame, and put it on when you're done. Just measure the old channel. I did mine last year. If the cushion, just buy a new one, or make a cover for the old.
