Anyone made windchimes with kids? What kind of pipe did you use?

Question:

Answers:
Bamboo, if you can get it. Bamboo and a handsaw are much more kid friendly than metal and a very dangerous cut-off saw.
Just a thought.

Thin wall stainless tubing works well and so does thinwall aluminum. The diameter and length will give the different tones.
Copper (expensive), Aluminim, PVC, bamboo,
I used styrofoam for my windchimes. The neighbors said my old ones were waking them at night.
Any thin light pipe will work. You can also use small flat strips of a metal. Think Xylophone.
ave you thought about different materials? u cud use shells from a beach buy u. u could make it into a fun day out, go an collect shells, ad then make windchimes. u cud also use spoons maybe? wooden or metal?...if wooden the children could paint them.
