Adding shelf to my tv stand how can i be sure the shelf will stable?
Question:trying to add another glass shelf on my stand. just wondering, if i drill a hole for the pins that hold the glass, will it be supported well? here is a pic of a stand similar to mine.

if you can find the same materials as of that in your existing shelf's angle brackets, i am sure you can add more. as for your columns, it has no problem. it can still carry cantilever loads just the same as the existing.
just make sure also to bolt your angle braces tightly and neatly. you might end up not liking your shelf anymore.
you can punch 3 holes in triangle form each braces so that it wont sway either ways
just make sure that your table can still support the weight of the added shelf and the thing(s) that you place on the top of it. it's really up to you in which option you will choose thats just my advice.
