Laser spirit levels?
Question:i need a good laser level that will project straight lines onto walls and ceilings in order to instal alluminium doors and windows. i never bought one before so i need some good advice on the best on the market please.
Answers:
What you are probably looking for is an auto-leveling rotary laser. CST Berger, David White, and Dewalt are a few manufacturers of them. There are others out there, but the prices will vary widely depending on features and function.

A lot of CST berger products can be found at HD, Lowes, and other places like that.
Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get one that has a molded plastic body and is lightweight. This will allow you to fasten the level to the wall using gum tack or sticky tabs and get the light where you need it. Also, compare the luminescence (brightness rating) of the laser.
hi mate there are a few out there to choose from but the one i have is great. its a Black and Decker LZR5 laser level. i bought it at 40 quid. this is a automatic levelling for precise horizontal and vertical lines. if you want a manual one this is a Black and Decker BDL120 but at 25 quid
look for one with an accuracy of at least 1/4" in 100' many of them out there only have a accuracy of 1/2 in 30' cost will very from about $35 - $250 for one in the 1/4 in 100' range
i have a dewalt laser level ..it realy is a clever bit of kit ..it can run a laser line both vertical and level ..both at the same time if needed..its invaluable when we are tiling ..or wallpapering .or fixing door frames etc ..but ..it did cost 150quid..but well worth it
Basically you should go for German makes. It's expensive.
As with everything else in this world you get what you pay for.
The cheaper you buy it the poorer the quality.
The Germans are known for their excellent engineering.
