BeeHive in Air Conditioner Sleeve?

Question:I recently bought a new A/C to go into my wall. When the wall sleeve was taken off a big bee hive was found inside. We cleaned it out and put in our new A/C.

Is there a way to prevent bees from making bee hives in an empty A/C sleeve ( assuming the bees don't make hives when the A/C is in the sleeve ! )?

Assuming you can't stop the bees from getting in, there a number of bee traps you can purchase from Home Depot or Lowe's that will attract and trap bees one at a time, before they are able to start nesting.
