My tub won't drain?
Question:Every time I have a shower, my tub fills up and refuses to drain. It can take hours to drain it. I've used Draino but it's not helping. I live in an apartment. Any help? Thanks.

Because you live in apartment, there have been others before you showering. And since your a chick, well you have longer hair than guys and tend to clog up the drain when you shower. So reach down pull out the stopper, and pull out the hair ball. And no the toilet has nothing to do with the shower...Its amazing how stupid some people are and the kind of answers you get. It makes you wonder what the heck they are doing on this site answering peoples questions with answers like that.just plain stupid.
Try plugging your toilet. Iknow it sounds silly. Give it a try if you are lucky it may help
it might be the way the pipe is draining. That happened to me, and my husband had to replace the pipe and put a T in. you might have old pipes and the landlord should replace them
It sounds like you may have a hair ball clogging your drain and you will probably have to dig it out.
I had the same problem slow tub drain..here how I solved it...I got my wet/dry shop vac and vacuumed the drain while holding a rag over the overflow hole and let it suck for about 5 mins...and it worked!! no plumber bill!! so if you know anybody with a heavy duty wet/dry vac maybe you could borrow it and try that!
You need to unscrew the drain plug and remove all the hair that is blocking the water from draining, after you remove the drain plug, I have found that using pliers helps remove the offending hair.
call a plumber!!
good luck!
use a needle nose pliers to remove the hair that is probably clogging the drain,or call the maintenance to fix it
that is a job for a plumber and your landlord is responsible to fix the problem.
