Answers:
If you don't want to build your own after looking at the plans, etc., here are several links to get you started finding what you need.

The first link sells good quality hives, bees, and even a book "Beekeeping for Dummies". Prices are medium.

Here is another site with lower prices for their beehives. The first link is for fully assembled hives; the second is beginners' kits with a hive that requires assembly:

And finally, a link to a page that contains beekeeping web links to all sorts of beekeeping sites: places that sell hives, bees, protective gear, how-to books, and even on line tutorials and guides:

I don,t think they move in on they,re own, but all you need is a queen bee, put her in a hive and she,ll give off a scent to attract other bees. But building a hive all you need is a wooden box, and about 4or5 wooden shelves about 3 inches apart slid down inside. put a cover on top and a opening at the bottom about an
1 in, high for the bees to get in and out of. the cover on top is for pulling the shelves out and extracting the honey. make sure you have a smoker for calming the bees down and a suit protecting your self because bees don,t like you stealing their food.
try this: Looks like it has everything you need to know.

Good luck . I have always wanted to do this but the closest I came was my cottonwood tree had a huge beehive in one of the old limbs..
Go on to the bee keepers web site. This will tell you all you need to know about how to build a hive. Also as with all things bees will reproduce and eventually need new hives to expand into, so it should be possible to get in touch with your local bee keeping society and ask them to help provide you with a new colony. Good luck, enjoy the honey.
