How hard is it to frame in an unfinished basement?

Question:Is it a job I can do by myself with some knowledge?

Answers:
Its not bad . Do some home work on framing . every 4th stud is 4 ft if 16" on center.

Leave 1 inch off cement block between wall framing for air to circulate.
ie. if using a 2x3 you would be 3 1/2 in off wall .

What ever framing material you are using once figure it size
plus the 1in .

Put mark wall at each end If its (20 ft or 200 ft of wall .) and strike a chalk line . this will keep wall straight .

I could go into detail on framing but other than these 2 tricks you can get a book with illustrations and its easier to figure out

i hear its relatively easy with the basic understanding measure twice cut once.
Not hard at all. Ive done it. It did take time since I did it all myself. I could explain exactlly how to but Ill say you the trouble.. Go to Lowes or HOme Depot.. they have amazing How-To Books. Tip: Measure 3 times cut once. lol
Yes. I did it myself and I'm just a duffer. I bolted a 2X4 to floor. The I nailed 2X4's perpendicular to the joists and nailed a 2X4 over those parallel to the one on floor. Then I just put put the studs between the 2. For good measure I bolted an angle iron into the cinder blocks low to the wall and bolted that to some of the studs. That thing is there for good.
...the hardest part of finishing a basement is getting 4x8 sheets (of anything) down the basement stairs...Plan ahead...
