How do I open an envelope without damaging it?
Question:I wish to be able to reseal the envelope after opening it.
Answers:
You should put a pen's sharp end in the corner of the envelope and slowly roll it towards the other end very carefully . This does not assures that you'll be able to close it up perfectly again. The gum on the envelopes is actually for one use only.
Otherwise try to steam it open by placing the envelop over bowling water. The problem of the glue will be more acute this way.
PUT IT UP TO SOME STEAM OR USE A LETTER OPENER OPEN CAREFULLY AND THEN USE STICK OR GLUE THAT NOT LIQUIFIED TO RESEAL
Put it in the freezer for about an hour...the glue usually can't take the cold
