Give me instructions for cleaning a muddy inground gunite plaster swimming pool?

Question:after flooding twice in one week our inground gunite, plaster swimming pool received dirty creek water. I don't think it is a good idea to drain water, so does anyone know of a better way to receive clean water again without harming the equipment?

Answers:
You can put a sump pump ($35-$50 rental) at the bottom and pump it out. That what its made for. The small amount left shouldn't hurt your equipment.

A broom and some muscles is just as good as any thing you could buy from a store.
To clean it right you will need to drain it down at least half way. Use a sump pump instead of your drain and you will save your equipment.
