How do you hook up a sump pump?

Question:

Answers:
Pipe it out, plug it in.

Normally after taking it out from the box: (1) one would place a radiator hose type clamp over the discharge hose and then connect the hose securely to the outlet opening; (2) lower the sump pump carefully to the floor/bottom of sump pit and make sure nothing is blocking the switch lever that activates the sump pump or signals the water level (3) close the cover top of the sump making sure the cord passes through the available opening, and (4) connect the cord to a normal house current electrical outlet
