Is there a city code in mil about puting up a 10 foot net in your yard to keep balls from going over the fence


Question:the nabor dose not like my kids and the ball keeps going over her 4 foot fence and she got mad when she saw me digging the holes for the post and said she will call the cops if i put the net up what can i do ?
p.s. i am digging 2 feet off the fence line in my yard

Sounds like she just wants to be a crab. Call your local city hall and ask for planning and zoning dept and ask them.
If you are within your rights (which I would think you are) let her call the cops.

Let's see, she certainly does not like the balls going into her yard and she does not like you doing something to stop that from happening. hmmm, I would say she is wacked, a bona fide wack job yup yup.

Check with the local construction official or building department and see if you need a permit to put up a fence like that. In many municipalities permits are needed for fences. Armed with the permit, you can wave it in her face and tell her to suck eggs the next time she complains about your holes. And don't give her the benefit of the 2 feet. If local code allows it, back the fence right up to the property line and tell her to pound salt.
