What can I lay on top of an asphalt walkway that will be attractive?

Question:I have a small, approx 10ft X 4ft asphalt walkway that connects to an asphalt driveway. I do not like how the asphalt looks on the walkway but it is great for the driveway. What can I lay on top of the asphalt walk, which is solid and level, that would be more attractive? Somehow I have to figure out how to join the walk and the driveway so that the walkway is not higher than the driveway. I was thinking of laying slate on top of the asphalt since it is fairly thin. Would this work? Anyone have a solution?

Answers:
you could stain and stencil your walkway instead of putting something on top of it, that would solve your problem of not making the walkway higher than the driveway

here is a link to one website that has products available, I'm sure there are probably others as well, or there may be a contractor in your area who provides this service

Slate would be beautiful but it would not work. In order to install slate you need to have a foundation made of concrete. Furthermore, once you apply the slate with concrete your walkway will be at least an inch elevated over your driveway.
Paint it and add solar lights along the walk
