Can I replace a faulty yorkshire fitting?

Question:I have got 2 pipes joined with a yorkshire fitting which has a small leak. Can I simply remove the existing fitting, clean up and put a new fitting in its place. I am guessing that any existing solder on the pipe cause the pipe to act as it is tinned and therefore there should not be an issue. Am I correct?

Answers:
Sounds good to me, although I have not the faintest idea what a yorkshire fitting might be. Just be sure to use flux and some fresh solder.

Should not be a problem, when you cut the yorkshire fitting off remember taht you are also cutting a small piece of the copper pipe away as well.
