How Do I Bleed A Radiator?

Question:I know how to bleed my radiators but does anybody know if I start at the radiator closest to the boiler or the furthest? I am sure I heard years ago somwhere it made a big differance.

Thanks!!

Answers:
Do upstairs first. Thats where most of the air will be.
If you have a gravity filled system - tank in the loft - the system will look after it' self.
If you have a combi boiler, check system pressure after the bleeding.

As far as i know you will need a radiator key and then have a container ready to catch the excess water to drain out.
start at the furthest away one.
it doesnt matter where tou start from
just turn the key and when the water starts coming, tighten it

simple
Start with the highest one from your boiler. In reality it doesnt matter too much which way round you do them.
This has been covered here-

If a radiator remains cold at the top it requires bleeding. first turn the boiler OFF or you will suck air into the system, Get a radiator key, release the radiator valve you will hear a hissing noise as the air escapes, when water comes out shut the valve, NB only bleed rads that remain cold when heating is on. Good luck.
I've only bled a radiator if the heat has not reached the top of it. All others have been ok so I don't think it matters where it is placed.
Stick a pin in it !
