It helps if you stack wood in a tee pee type mound, put paper in between for combustion & start fire, fire needs oxygen to start, just like our lungs My son get a fire going almost evry weekend like this & its not a very big fire, so try it.
use diesel, not gas, only diesel and you can mix all your old oil drains in it to get rid of it at the same time.
I would first try to find some birch bark (if you live in Florida or Georgia use palmetto leaves) and then create a teepee with tall sticks and stick the birch bark and some paper in the middle.
Don't use pineneedles or leaves because they smoke too much
If you can get your hands on it jet fuel!
