Swamp / Evaporative Cooler won't start. When switched on, I hear the charge to start, but then it dies. Ideas?

Question:I replaced the engine and belts. Float is new. It's all clean. I'm unsure as to where to check next. Electrical is on, too.

Answers:
Your belt may be too tight or could be miswired. Most of the problems I have had with electric motor not working, was the result of a bad switch or lose wire.

Check the pump to make sure it has suction. If so it may not have enough water in the bottom of it.
prime it
