How to kill or get rid of wood bee's?

Question:Is there any way to get of wood bee's?

Answers:
I have had this problem before in the past. The problem is that carpenter bee's love untreated wood. They will bore it unmercifully until you do something with it.
I use Thompsons waterseal to treat the wood. The Bee's don't care for this stuff. This has seemed to help and I have not had anymore problems since. If you are putting up a new structure, make sure you use pressure treated lumber.
I have read where others just used paint. Just plugging the holes will not work.
Goodluck!

You mean what we call carpenter bees that actually bore into the wood and create an extensive network of tunnels...if you have tried plugging the many holes with moth balls and spraying a foaming insecticide, and you still have them buzzing about, you need to wither
1) get rid of the wood (if possible, like an old fence), or
2) call in a professional. Trust me on this one, you may not be able to get rid of these things. My mom tried for years, and finally, we got permission to take the neighbor's rail fence down. That took care of it.
The only way I know is to get a fly swatter or a bunch of kids with sticks and let them play stick ball with them. I have asked a pest control employee and the Horticultural Professor at the nearby university.
They are basically known as carpenter bees.
I will tell you, do not make the same mistake I have done by sealing their holes up when they have left. They are migratory bees and will come back to the same holes if they are still there. They will bore new ones if they are closed up.
One gentleman said to spray the wood with a mixture of cayenne and water. I have not done this yet, so I can't tell you if this works or not. I hope someone answers your question better than I, for I am a fellow sufferer in this matter.
Good Luck
I`ve posted my own "season" on them.
I like to sit on my car port (which is wood) and lay in wait for them with a raquetball raquet. They`re pretty easy to knock down, but ya gotta "squish em" before they recover. Got ten of em one afternoon. Forgot to mention, it`s an open season and there`s no bag limit.
I know there are those saying " you got way too much time on your hands"! But all I can say is if you`ve never tried it, you`re missing out on some great therapy. Not to mention the relaxation if a sixpack is added.
On the more serious side, I`ve tried siliconing the holes shut. Seems to work. (especially if you wait till they enter the hole)
ask the neighborhood bully ?

Joking !
