Toilet bowl level low/'deposits' not flushing?

Question:None of the previous answers seemed to help. Our toilet bowl isn't filling up enough... the tank of it is. We poured water into the tank, and the level returned to the same level. We put water into the bowl, and it stayed at the same level after flushing.

We are getting some 'desposits' returning, or not even flushing at all...

It obviously has something to do with the bottom part of the toilet. It's as though it has a leak. but i can't see any holes.

any appropriate suggestions?

Thanks

Try opening the tank and look for the bowl filler water line. It should be about a 1/4" line that allows water to flow through the overflow tube (usually in the center of the tank. That is where the water comes from that refills your bowl.

If you are experiencing low water levels and this water line is in place then you should look to the exhaust pipes for the problem.

It could be something stuck in the toilet, bad or improperly install wax ring or sewer pipe plug that is causing the trouble.

Has this toilet ever worked correctly? If so this will let you know the time when the problem occurred if not then it may just be an installation problem.

Finally, toilets are made of porcelain and you may have just got a bad one. They are not too expensive so changing the entire unit may be an option. The best brand of toilet is "TOTO."

I really don't know what to tell ya but unless you can afford a plumber, I would go to your local hard-ware store and try to get some advice from them and buy a book while you're there. I would also try to snake the toilette but be careful not to do it too hard because you don't want to crack the bowl or pipes. I wish I could help out more but this is all I know to tell you. Sorry.
Check the intake and output holes for lime deposits. Make sure your wax ring is in good shape and if all else fails, buy a new toilet.
sounds like a low flow toilet , most states brought them into law to save water go figure , most times you must flush 2 or more times so that really doesn't save water you might try looking into a newer one or you may have to import one if you can mostly ppl go across the boarder to get a regular one if you can , if not you gotta put up with what you have
If the water level is low, adjust the float by bending its rod upwards or resetting the adjustment screw.
Pour about 2 or 3 gallons of water from a pail directly into the bowl. If it flushes well, the drain and vent are probably clear, if not use an auger http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h... (toilet snake) to free debri in the trap.
It may need acidizing.
But I'm not going to explain how here. It's best to get a plumber to do it.

Is the refill tube from the ballcock in the overflow tube and refilling the bowl after flushing? That could be it also.

The bowl could need augering, but from your description, it's unlikely.

Do one thing----fill the bowl up slowly with a can of water. When it reaches it's peak level, and stops rising, that is the level you really need for proper flushing.
If it isn't at that level after the tank refills, then it's the ballcock refill tube not working.
have you checked the floater to be sure the water level is where it's supposed to be ?
