I am looking for a ceiling light with a pull chain. Any idea where I can purchase one in Australia?
Question:The light is for a bedroom where the light switch is located outside of the bedroom. I would like to be able to turn the light switch on but be able to turn the light on and off with a pull chain in the room.

I would add a pull chain switch. You are probably going to have a hard time finding a fixture with one in it from the factory. Go to a home improvement store or hardware store and purchase a pull chain switch. Drill a hole in the side of the fixture and simply break the hot going to the fixture. The hot coming from the switch or power supply will go to one wire on the pull chain switch and the hot lead going to the bulb will attach to the other side of the pull chain switch. Remember if you are going to do this with a standard light switch on the wall, the switch will have to remain on for the pull chain to operate properly.
No one's answered you yet, and I'm in the US, but here, any hardware store will have the basic, no frills, ceramic pull-chain fixture. And any store with a larger light selection should have something more decorative. They most likely are displaying (pushing) more expensive ones, so check the bottom shelves or back of the aisle. Unless things are different in Australia, I don't see why this would be hard to find. Maybe though, they're not allowed there?, and I should just shut up.
Also, moving the switch is no big deal to do if you are comfortable, and shouldn't be too expensive to have done if you aren't. In most cases a simple project. This would probably be your best bet.
Man thats crazy . Help this guy out you Aussies .Well anyways its just like my Americian brother says , any hardware store should carry the basic ceramic pull chain fixture and higher end lighting dealers will have the more eye appealing . Dont you guys have phone books there . No offense or anything .I love Crocidile Dundee by the way .
