Why do we have to do circular motion when we polish the car or cd?

Question:

Answers:
WAX ON >>> WAX OFF<<< !! lol:)

wax on wax off,uh huh
With a car, it's just practical because like the others said "wax on, wax off" but with a cd you're actually not supposed to go in a circular motion when cleaning them. You're suppose to go from the middle out, in straight lines, not a circular motion. Same goes for vinyl records.
If you go back and forth instead of using a circular motion on a car you won't get all the nooks and crannies. On a CD, who cares how you do it, its polycarbonate plastic and all the info is inside the cd on the aluminum layer, just don't scratch because that will cause the laser to deflect incorrectly and cause a misread or skip.
When you go in a circular motion you will not go over the same spot in the same direction. If you go back and forth or up and down you are going in the direction more than once.If there is any dirt on the car the up down back and forth motion will show scratch marks in your paint, the circular motion will hide them.
If you do a circular motion when waxing, the paint will show the scratches in circles as well.
