Sewing a sphygmomanometer cuff: what are the measurements?
Question:I had an incident with my cuff and can't seem to find a replacement cuff, I was planning to sew a sphygmomanometer. But I just don't know the measurements and how I should sew it. Also are there other designs for sphygmomanometer cuff?
Answers:
You can get a syhygmonanometer cuff, along with the whole kit, at any drug store. I have two, one that has a bulb and one that is electric and I can't see an ounce of difference between them. The problem in sewing is that you have to make a pocket that will hold the bladder and then stitch the bladder in without puncturing it. I would spend $15-20 on a new one before I started fixing the older one.
