Mixing 1 part salt peter (available in some pharmacy departments), 1 part sugar, and 2 parts water over low heat until it becomes like cream of wheat will make a great smoke bomb. Pour the mixture onto a paper towel and roll it up like a big Tootsie Roll. Let harden. Light the end. It's very hard to put out once lit, so make small ones. Also, it gets very hot, so make sure you put them on safe surfaces.
