Hi
Pretty easy with the right tools and sensible approach. And a kit as shown in the link. If at all unsure of fitting then help is a must plus the finishing is the primary objective.
Give me a shout if you need any help
That really is one for the Pros.
The answer is not likely to be found in a do it yourself book or in a forum such as this.
If you want to turn an opening into the Living Room from a rectangle to an arch without making structural alterations, you can change it into what architects call a "segmented" arch, where the ends of the arch contact the sides of the opening about 6"-8" down from the corners, and the center for the arc contacts the top of the opening in the middle.
In principal this is a fairly easy job for a professional. It will require removing whatever trim is around the opening, adding framing (3-strips of 1/4" plywood glued together and held in place by short pieces of 2x4 (assuming the wall is made from these) spaced about 6" apart. Then you will have to patch the drywall. To trim this you would have to create a curved jamb and trim - simpler would be to install drywall all around.
If the opening has a door in it, it involves much more work.
you make a plywood arch use 2by 4 s to stiffin the arch and for a dry wall nailer
1 for the pros
If the wall is hollow then its quite straight forward
but if the wall is solid then there's a lot more work involved as it could be a supporting wall
