Is it possible to put a ben to 1/2" maple wood, if so how?

Question:i have 1/2 inch maple and i wanna know if i can put a bend into it not a huge ben maybe like a centemieter or 2 off the ground

Answers:
Not a problem. Here's the brute force approach. Soak it in water, like over night. Next day, put it up on two concrete blocks, so it's like a bridge, and put a third concrete block on your 'bridge'. Let it sit a couple of days to bend and dry. Done.
Now, if you need a perfect bend, we take a different approach. First, using a table saw (with proper fences and kick-backs in place), make cuts across the width of the board using the following criteria: The cuts should be 1/2 to 3/4 apart from each other and approximately 1/2 the thickness of the board (the deeper the cuts and the closer they are together, the "bendier" the board will be). When your done (and for god's sake be careful, this is DANGEROUS work) as before, soak over night. Next day, wipe dry and "conform to installation" or bend by some other means, and allow to dry.
I don't know what your building but, have fun.

Steam bending is the best way and I haven't the words to explain, but found this place
