Question:of the one above it. Specifically I wne to urban outfitters and they had a very nice cubicle storage unit. I want to make a similar unit with cubes, one above the other, but how do you fasten the dividers on top of one another when fastening one prevents the fastening of another?

Not in favor of store bought of those types of furniture pieces, I have put together many, as well as taken many to the curb, and can give you one example of the "HOW"
Visualize this. The first course (Verticle) may be installed with a blind post and turn lock piece of "capture" hardware. It turns in a predrilled hole. Flush with the surface it captures ridged pins inserted above it, in the horizontal. Before the next aligned verticle is installed, and in manufacture, the horizontal also has ridged pins installed facing UP, with the next verticle having the "Capture" hardware in the inside (or outside) of its face. when it is set on top of the preceeding verticle, and the "capture" nut turned, it locks to those pins, aligning it to the previous,,,and so it goes.
