My Trane Heat and A/ C unit was on heat and I switched it to A /C and now my thermostats not operating at all?
Question:Is ther a reset button somewhere?

a easy check to make is to turn thermostat to off position..remove red yellow and green wire ...put these together if unit comes on replace thermostat...if unit does not come on.put all the wires back where they was and check for knocked breakers.if no breakers are knocked could be very likely that transformer went bad .
It sounds like you need to replace your Thermostat, Hopefully it is just a Switch that needs replacing..
Check your circuit breakers and such to be sure that they are all set properly. However, it sounds like your thermostat has died. They're pretty simple to replace; go to Home Depot or Lowe's, tell them what kind of heating/air conditioning you have, and they can show you how to do it. I replaced a thermostat a few years back in an apartment I lived in (maintenance took forever...), and it probably didn't take me more than 45 minutes.
Pull the heater power cord out from the receptacle, wait 1 minute and plug it back in.
Or if it's not accessible, close the breaker for a minute.
Usually there is a reset button on the unit outside. Always turn the unit off and give it a few seconds before switching it back on again.this may keep it from happening in the future.
If it's digital, change the batteries.
If it's manual, remove the cover & clean the contacts with electrical parts cleaner.
If that does'nt work, replace the t-stat.
