My down spout drain (the part under the concrete driveway) is plugged. How do I get it open?

Question:

Answers:
You'll probably be best served by renting a long 'plumbing snake'. That's a long cable-tool that is used to clean out drain-lines when they become clogged a distance from it's opening. Run the tool into either end of the down spout and use it to remove the clog. It's easy to use once you have it in place, self-explanatory.

try a drain bladder... If its tree roots you will need a" roto rooter" type machine to cut them out
Have you tried forcing your garden hose down the drain? Or is the end of the drain plugged with dirt?

If you have tried the hose and the end appears open, then your best bet will be to rent a "snake" and use it as if you were cleaning out a sewer line.
i would try a garden hose first. push it down as far as it will go then turn on the water full blast. if that does not work try a drain snake. (you can rent them if a friend does not have one) and if that fails you can rent a power snake that runs on electric. and if that does not work call in a pro.
