Does anyone know where I can find solar light kits to make my own out door lights? I have looked and looked!?

Question:

I really can't imagine that you could obtain the inner workings yourself cheaper than the commercially available ones complete.

If I was inclined to make a unique light, I would buy them in bulk and cannibalize the parts I needed.

I did put together a solar light kit before. I got the kit at a hobby store. I also noticed at a later time that most of the parts were available at an electrical supply store.

If you are doing this as an experiment or just for fun, then, you shouldn't have much trouble finding the materials. But, if you are wanting them fast and relatively inexpensively, I suggest Lowe's, Home Depot, or Walmart all of which carry outdoor solar lights.

On line you can order the kits from:http://www.plastecs.com/solar%20kits.htm...
