Installed the new fluro light?


Question:I installed a new double fluro light with mains power switched off but when I turn power back on the light comes on before i turn the actual light switch on can someone help me ?

Answers:
Try the switch in the other position, maybe that's the problem

Sounds like you wired it to complete the curcuit, bypassing the switch wiring.

Tell me one more time I do not understand.
switch the two black wires in the fixture,or the black and white if that is all there is.switch black and red.If all whites are together,DO NOT CHANGE.
you have the switch installed backwards
