Installing baseboards that are MDF... I was told to do 45 degree cuts however I dont want these cuts to look?

Question:window casing cuts. What about 22 degree? I read somewhere that the cuts will sit tightly also. How many darn types of cuts are there? which is easiest and best?

Answers:
45 degrees for the most part are the standard for baseboards for a couple of reasons. 1 you want the boards to fit so they look like one board. 2. other angles have and can be used but time and trial n error prove that 45 is the best to use. prior to painting the baseboard use a little filler and then sand smooth it will look great. if you stain (not recommended for mdf) use a mixture of the mdf sawdust and thinned out wood glue to make a filler.

I don't think it will matter which angle you use as long as you can keep them tightly matched.
Coping is the best. Tight fit every time even when corners are not a true 90 degree angle which most unfortunately arent. One board can be cut straight and put up the other cut at a 45 degree angle and then cut away all of the raw material you see exposed on the angle cut. A jigsaw held at an angle with some practice makes a beautiful trace cut along you baseboard and then when you fit it the board just contours around the existing piece perfectly. Good luck.

90 degrees is the angle of most corners right?
Half of 90 is 45.
Not all corners and walls are flush to begin with so not all 90 degree corners are actually 90, there for adjusting the angles of the cuts will fit them more tightly.
45 degrees means when you have the baseboard sitting position, that you cut 45 degrees looking from the top edge and cutting down and finishing at the bottom edge. Not laying flat and cutting 45 degrees. This 45 degree cut will give the impression of continuation of the profile around a corner. use a mitre box.
45 degrees would give yo uthe best look , cut it and chaulk it
