How many blocks should it take?

Question:I am getting ready to start the addition on my house. I have poured the concrete footers. Now i need to know how many 8X16 cement blocks i will need to make the foundation wall for it. the wall measures out at 18'X22'X40" . thats 5 block high anyone have a pretty close guess for me.

Answers:
The one wall is 18 feet long or 216 inches. Divide this by 16 inches which is the length of one block . This gives 13 1/2 blocks per course, you have 5 courses. Multiply 13 1/2 by 5, giving 67 1/2 blocks for this wall.

The second wall is 22 feet long or 264 inches, as above, gives 82 1/2 blocks for this wall.

This gives 150 blocks, but you should buy approx 5 extra since you have to cut blocks for each course.

To tell you the truth i dont know anything but you should go to home depot and osh for help
How many walls how long
There are 3 block for every 4 FT

So you will roughly need

18 by 4 is 4 x3 +2 is 14 block
22 by 4 is 5 x 3 +2 is 17 block

14 per row 18 ft 70 block
17 per row 22Ft 85 Block

or a total of 155 block

I just did it on top of head I could be wrong but this should be close
for the 22 ft x 40" you will need 82.5
for the 18 ft x 40" you will need 67.5
total 150
bricky for 16+ years
